Our First Combined Traffic Management Course combines the essential skill sets of Traffic Controller and Traffic Management Implementer to equip you with the knowledge and expertise needed for a successful career in the industry. This combined skill set covers a wide range of skills and knowledge required for traffic control and management in Temporary Traffic Management Category 1 environments.
Skills Covered: Communication in the workplace, controlling traffic with stop-slow bat, controlling traffic with portable traffic control devices and temporary traffic signs, risk management processes, implementing traffic management plans, and positioning, setting up, and programming portable traffic control devices.
Entry Requirements: To enrol on the TC1 TMI1 Combined Course, prospective learners must meet the following criteria:
– Hold CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry or equivalent; ‘White Card’.
– Have a keen interest in traffic management and a commitment to safety
Training and Assessment: Our training and assessment will be carried out through a combination of theoretical learning and practical experience. The theoretical course will take three days to complete.

Following the three theoretical days, students will need to successfully complete 20 hours of practical assessment with a licenced traffic management company. Practical assessments will be conducted on Category 1 roads, providing learners with hands-on experience in real-world settings.
